In a letter to Tim Ritcher, the President of the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness, Representative Ngodup Tsering mentioned that “The major Tibetan immigration into Canada took place in 2013, and since then many Tibetan families have settled and thrived as productive Canadian citizens. The Central Tibetan Administration and Tibetan people in Canada are very thankful for the opportunity and support the Government and the People of Canada offered to us during their most difficult period in our history. We remain eternally grateful.”
The Tibetan Associations in Canada chose this NGO since the pandemic disproportionately hurt the homeless population because of their lack of shelter.
