Home Kalon Mr. Sonam Topgyal Khorlatsang successfully concluded his official visit to the five southern Tibetan settlements along with visit to Bangalore, Mysore and Neelmangla, Bangalore.
In the evening Kalon visited one of the resident of camp four at Ganden Jangtse hospital, she was hospitilised due to diabiaties foot infection and even her eye sight was poor. She earned her living by collecting fire woods and selling it to the nearby monastery. She has two children, one girl studying in class twelve and a boy studying in class nine. Later Kalon visited their home in camp four where the childrens were there. The family lived in deplorable conditions. Kalon asked the settlement officer to make the necessary arrangement and provide relief assistance so that their living conditions can be improved.
On 15 April morning, Kalon left Bangalore and on the way visited the Institute of Small Trade and Learning (ISTL) centre, Neelmangla, Bangalore around 12.30 noon. Kalon inspected the ongoing training program and the facilities. After lunch, at 2 pm Kalon addreessed the students and asked the students to have aim, not to waste their time. Also, after the training, loans can be availed from Department of Home, CTA to start their own business, he said.
