Dharamshala: The 31st Task Force meeting on Negotiations commenced today at Dharamshala to review the prospects of dialogue process in the light of prevailing situation inside Tibet and China. The two-day meeting will be held from 15 to 16 May 2019.

CTA Spokesperson Sonam Norbu Dagpo addressed the press on the important topics covering the meeting which are the relation between China and Europe, China and US, and what can be done to achieve the goal of the Task Force meeting.

The members at the meeting held a moment of silence for late Gyari Lodoe Gyaltsen who was a member of the Task Force.

The spokesperson mentioned that CTA seeks Genuine autonomy through the Middle Way Approach which still remains the core goal and means of the Central Tibetan Administration to have a peace dialogue with PRC. And CTA is still hoping to have a peaceful dialogue with the PRC.

President Dr Lobsang Sangay is presiding over the meeting of Task Force on Negotiations over the two days.

This is the 31st meeting of the Task Force on Negotiations since its formation in 1999. The Task Force on Sino-Tibetan negotiation was constituted to help recommend policy matters and strategies to find a peaceful and mutually acceptable negotiated resolution to the issue of Tibet.
