In order to download the TCRC Bod-Yig keyboard handler for Windows, simply:

1. Download this "tcrctib.exe" application for Microsoft Office 2000 and Above

2. Download this "tcrctib1.exe" application for Microsoft Office 97 and Below

3. Follow the installation instructions provided with the application. OR

4. A small icon with the Tibetan flag and tcrctib will appear on your Desktop or where ever you had downloaded. (Double click this icon)

5. Dialogue Box with CTA logo will appear. (Click on the button install & Wait till the bar reaches the end and then click "Exit")

6. At this point, "TCRC Bod-yig" software is installed on your system.

7. Toggle between English letters and Tibetan script by using the "Scroll Lock" key on your keyboard.

8. For Microsoft Word XP, Please select Application "MS Word 2000" from Application1. Otherwise there will be some typing error. Same as for Excel XP, select Excel 2000. (Where is application selection? Right click at Yellow icon with "En" and "Bod" at system tray of Windows task bar.)

9. Please don't open too many applications at a time and when ever you activate or use Word XP, don't forget to change application to MS Word 2000.

10. Some time TCRC Youtso font will not be visible after reboot of your system. For that, install font again from c:\bod-Yig\fonts\
    Steps:
    Window Start Menu -> Setting -> Control Panel -> Fonts.
    At Fonts browser, select install font from File menu and then select the source folder i.e. c:\bod-Yig\fonts\ Then Select All -> OK
    Now you have successfully installed two fonts of TCRC Bod-Yig Application.

11. Download "TCRC Keyboard Layout" and open on MS word97 above

12. Common problem in MS Word and Excel, automatic changing character?
    Solution:
    • Go to "Tools" menu of MS Word
    • Select or click "Autocorrect" from Tools menu
    • Disable all the options at "AutoCorrect" tab and click at "AutoFormat as You Type" tab.
    • Disable the option "Straigth Quotes with Smart Quotes".
    • Click at "OK" Button.

Note: Any application with AutoCorrect feature need to disable before you use TCRC Bod-Yig e.g. Capitalisation of First letter, Day, Month, Country, City, etc and Straight Quotes to Smart Quotes.
