Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile Welcomes resolution passed by the Regional Parliament of Trentino-South Tyrol, Italy

The Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile graciously welcome the support and solidarity expressed by the Regional Parliament of Trentino-South Tyrol/Italy (RPTSY) by unanimously adopting the resolution condemning the Chinese repressive policy in Tibet and expression of its solidarity to the Tibetan people, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the Central Tibetan Administration and the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile.

We are also encouraged by the genuine effort of the Regional Parliament in raising the issues concerning Tibetan in general and the recent violence in Tibet in particular. We hope that the Italian government and the European Parliament will consider the all-important resolution of RPTSY and take immediate action therein. The seriousness of this resolution is such that the honorable President of the Regional Parliament of Trentino, South Tyrol, Dr Franz Pahl himself is amongst us at Dharamshala, the seat of the Central Tibetan Administration. We are very thankful to honorable president Dr Pahl and the members of the Regional Parliament of Trentino - South Tyrol and looking forward for the continued support in future as well.
