Press Release

Dharamsala (Tibet.Net), 20 May 2003: We would like to point out an error in the ABC Radio Australia's news report of 20 May, regarding His Holiness the Dalai Lama's response to an invitation to visit Taiwan.

The ABC quoted an "official for the Dalai Lama" as having said that His Holiness the Dalai Lama had declined the invitation to "avoid damaging improving relations with China". We would like to point out that NO AUTHORIZED SPOKESPERSON of His Holiness the Dalai Lama has made any statement to this effect.
