Kashag Secretariat

The Kashag executes its instructions and decisions through the Kashag Secretariat which is responsible for all administrative and political matters relating to the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and the Tibetan people. These decisions affect all departments, institutions, organizations as well as the Tibetan public. The Kashag Secretariat also shoulders the responsibility of addressing and looking into various reports, proposals, petitions submitted to the Kashag by various departments, institutions, organizations and the public. The Kashag Secretariat brings all matters to the attention of the Kashag and then issues directions and guidelines to the concerned departments, institutions, organizations etc. in accordance with the decisions taken by the Kashag.

The Kashag Secretariat also shoulders the responsibility of issuing no objection notifications for processing travel documents (yellow I.C.) of Tibetans going abroad for various purposes.
