The DTR hospital started with single room and a hut with two beds at the present site of hospital with four staff in the form of an emergency clinic. Since then it has been never looked back. The present hospital building was inaugurated on 1st of January 1970 under the MYRADA project.

Presently the hospital has a total capicity of 52 beds including 16 bedded TB Isolation ward.

The DTR is trying their best to improve the existing facilities, main area of thrust is towards setting up a very comprehensive preventive care system which will not only reduce their dependency on curative services and additional facilities but will save the general masses from under going unnecessary pain, suffering and install in their minds the real value of preventive is better than cure.
