Chief Justice Commissioner and Justice Commissioner Sworn-in
Dharamsala 14 October: The new Chief Justice Commissioner Namgyal Tsering Dralnang and Justice Commissioner Thupten Tashi Anyertsang, who were appointed a month ago, took the oath of office from His Holiness the Dalai Lama this morning.
Also present at the modest ceremony were Mr. Pema Jungney, Chairman of the Assembly of the Tibetan People’s Deputies, Ms. Gyari Dolma, the Vice-Chairperson of the ATPD, Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche, Kalon Tripa, Mr.Thupten Lungrik, Kalon for Departments of Religion &Culture, and Mr. Lobsang Nyima, Kalon for Department of Home.
The Kashag hosted an official ceremony in its hall after the swearing-in ceremony. It was attended by Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche, Kalon Thupten Lungrik, Kalon Lobsang Nyima, secretaries and heads of the various Departments of the Central Tibetan Administration. The officials of the Central Tibetan Administration were served traditional sweetened rice and Tibetan butter tea.
